When it comes to NFL streaming services…
- SlingTV (Blue) is the cheapest (per month),
- YouTube TV has unlimited cloud DVR storage,
- NFL Plus offers the most games, but only for mobile devices.
Sigh… back when cable was king, choosing the best TV package was simple.
You went with the deal that offered the most channels of quality programming for the buck.
Fast forward to the age of cord cutting. When selecting an app to stream NFL games, channel selection and price still matter. But now, there are more things to consider, such as:
- Lifestyle – If you travel a lot, you want to be able to watch your favorite programs, no matter where you are.
- Available devices – Are you one of those people that do everything on your laptop? If so, then you need to make sure you can stream NFL games to your notebook.
- Where you live – Most streaming platforms are now available just about anywhere in the U.S. However, it won’t matter if you live in an area that lacks fast WiFi or internet.
If you’re not sure what to expect, here’s what happens when you Cut The Cord & Stream NFL Games.
Thus, with all these things to consider, selecting the perfect NFL streaming service can be a real pain in the a**. But since when is life perfect?
So, instead of missing more games, take the leap now and give one of these services a whirl. If you’re not sure about which to choose, then keep reading.

Best NFL streaming service for…
In-market games
- SlingTV is the cheapest on a monthly basis (Blue $35/Blue + Orange $50)
- FuboTV (w/Sports Plus add-on), YouTube TV, and Hulu + Live TV offers the most local games (235)
- Out of those three, the most economical on a per (maximum) game basis is YouTube TV ($0.32)
- For fans of 11 NFL teams, SlingTV Blue provides the best value (Read more about that here)

But again, ‘the best’ is what’s best for you. So, for example, if…
- Watching 5 regular season games is enough, then Sling TV will do for 47% of NFL fans. The Blue package will include 5 or more home games for 15 teams.
- You’re a fan of the Lions, Rams, Giants, or Commanders – with 6 or more games on Fox – you’ll want Fubo, Hulu, or YouTube.
- “Insider” stuff like news, rumors, & fantasy tips are your thing, know that AT&T TV does not carry the NFL Network.
- You’re heavily into fantasy football, then you can again eliminate AT&T TV, since NFL Red Zone is not included.
Notes:
- Hulu + Live TV will add the NFL Network (along with RedZone) by Aug. 1, 2021.
- It was widely reported in the fall of 2020 that YouTube TV was dropping the Fox Regional Sports Network, but if you go to the YTT home page, FS1 is clearly listed among the channels.

Out of market NFL games
Imagine… Every. Single. Game.
No, we’re not referring to NFL Sunday Ticket. We’re talking about NFL Plus. And the best part? It’s a mere fraction of Sunday Tickets’ price.
However, if this sounds too good to be true, it’s because it is – for U.S. residents, at least. To explain, there’s 2 versions of NFL +:
- NFL Plus, which replaced NFL Game Pass, is strictly for those located in the U.S. You can watch only in-market games, and on mobile devices only.
- With NFL Game Pass International, you can stream local and out of market games, but only if you’re not in the United States.
Chances are, you probably live in the U.S., which makes this irrelevant. Or does it??
NFL+ workaround
While U.S. subscribers are blocked from live streams, there are no such restrictions with NFL Game Pass International. The international version is hands down the best and most cost-effective way to stream NFL games live. It’s like getting Sunday Ticket for one-third the price.
But, since you live in the good old US of A, this does you absolutely no good.
Or does it??
Okay, enough dancing around.
To explain: Through the use of a VPN (virtual private network), you can effectively change your IP address so that it looks like you’re in another country. Of course you need to select one that qualifies for NFL+ International.
HOW TO WATCH LIVE NFL GAMES WITHOUT CABLE FOR FREE.
VPN services are pretty cheap, so for an additional 3-7 bucks per month – Voi-freakin-la! The best NFL streaming for your dollar, hands down.
Here’s more on how to signup for NFL+ International if you live in the U.S.
A subscription to Plus in the U.S. costs $100, while NFL+ International varies by country. In the U.K., the lower tier package is £84.99 (111 USD), while the Season Pro costs £139.99 ($184).
Here’s a list of countries where Plus International is available.
