Tailgating Games For Less Than $100

Best Tailgating Games Under $100

Without tailgating games, it’s just not a party.

You can have the best food, the best beer, and the best creature comforts…

But it’s not complete if you don’t have the games.

And I’m not talking about playing cards, Madden NFL, or a round of two-hand touch.

Uh-uh. I’m talking tailgate party games that can bring you back to your college days. You remember college – it was a time when you…

  • Had hair.
  • Subsisted on a diet of pizza & beer without gaining weight.
  • Were able to party all night & still wake up for class in the morning.
  • Could have a great time with little money.

Now you earn a lot more money, but you also have a lot more expenses, so the last thing you need at this point is to spend another 100 bucks or more on a corn hole set or beer pong table.

What you need are…

Top tailgating games for under 100 bucks

Tailgate Toss

While a full-sized set of cornhole boards can cost you upwards of $130, a miniature version can be had for much, much less.

Yes, the Wild Sports Cornhole Set is smaller, but unless you’re playing in a tournament, do you really need a regulation-sized board? At approximately ¾ the size, it’s small enough to be transported easily, yet large enough to feel like the real thing, and a helluva lot cheaper.

Beer Pong

A regulation-size (8-foot) beer pong table is usually $100 or more; you can get a 6-foot version for just $76.  Not only is it smaller and cheaper, but here are 2 more reasons that 72 inches is better than 96:

  • If the parking lot is especially crowded, 2 feet can mean the difference between “violating” a tailgating boundary or staying within your space.
  • The larger the table, the harder it is to get the balls in the cup. This makes the game last longer, and mo’ beer = mo’ money.

Do it yourself tailgate games

Some of the best tailgating games can be simple, do-it-yourself types. So, do you fancy yourself as the handy type? Have you ever completed a do-it-yourself project without staple gunning your foot? If so, you can try your hand at building your own custom corn hole set.

And if you like to corn hole in the dark, add some lights to your home made boards – yours will be the only game in town when the sun goes down. (P.S. – you’ll no longer be able to blame your crappy aim on the night).

If sawing and painting isn’t your thing, here are two other DIY tailgate party games that will save money, time, & effort:

A Shot in the Dark

(LED football + LED shot glasses) + your favorite booze = instant tailgating fun (with a made up name) for $41, played after dark of course.

Price of hooch not included.

Dizzy Bat

Has there ever been a more debaucherous, yet simple, idea for a game? It’s also more fun as a spectator than a participant:

32″ Wiffle Ball Bat $10.25 at Amazon

Conclusion

  • Games are what makes tailgating a true party.
  • You can spend $100-$170 on tailgating games such as cornhole and beer pong, or…
  • You can get smaller versions of the same games for 28%-53% less.
  • Do-it-yourself games can save you even more and are no less enjoyable.
